Lazy Day

Today is really a lazy day! So far I have washed the dishes, cleaned the kitchen, washed a load of laundry, made breakfast and lunch, taken a load of Logan's clothes down to storage, and emailed my homework in, but I have yet to change out of my pajamas! It's a windy day and I just don't feel like going anywhere or doing much of anything! Maddison is a bundle of energy today, as usual! Sometimes I get tired just watching her run and be cute. Logan is growing like a weed and he should be walking soon, I hope! He can now stand by himself without holding onto anyone or anything. It's nice to be able to spend a day with my husband and kids without worrying about work or appointments!

Fall is in the air!

I love this time of year when the seasons are changing! I like that its cooled down now and we can go outside without getting heat stroke! I also enjoy that I can wear long sleeves and not be horribly hot! Maddison is such a cutie, she is a handful as well! She has started throwing huge fits when she doesn't get her way but we just deal with it as it comes. This morning after I got home from work I was changing Logan and he decided to dive off of the changing table. It was very scary for me and I can only imagine how it felt for him, the poor baby! He survived the fall with a cut lip and some bruises so we were very blessed that his injuries weren't worse! He is also growing and he has such a cute personality! Logan's first birthday is coming up fast on the 28th of this month and I can't believe my little baby is almost one! We are also expecting another baby! We will find out in about 6 weeks what the sex of the baby is but I don't know yet if I want to know! :) I met my niece last week, she sure is a cutie! I think that is all that is happening with us so until next time!

Way too long!

It has been way way too long since I last blogged! A lot has been going on! Summer was fun. We did a lot and it was fun to spend time with the kids without constantly worrying about classes and appointments. Logan is crawling like a madman and about to start walking! Maddison turned three in July and she has the funnest little personality! I started school again this past Monday and it has been going fine so far! In June I found out I was pregnant again so this will be interesting having another baby during the middle of another semester since the baby is due in March 2010. Also we have to get a bigger vehicle and I don't even know how we'll manage to smash three kids into one small room but we will have to figure it out! Travis is still working hard and recently passed his POST classes so he is now certified to be a policeman! That is pretty exciting for him! Logan and Maddison also started to go to daycare since their old babysitter wasn't able to babysit anymore. I don't know how much I'm liking it since Logan is already sick and he's only been there two times! Maddison loves playing with the other kids though so I'm glad she has a fun time! I think that's everything that's been happening to us so until next time!

Spring!

I love this time of year! I love when the flowers start blooming and everything is turning green! I went to visit my sisters on Tuesday down in Logan and it was wonderful! We were able to go to the Logan temple and walk around the grounds! The flowers were gorgeous and the temple was so pretty. Maddy loved it and she kept telling me "Mommy Jesus Christ lives in the temple" I'm so glad that she's learning about the church and Christ! Logan weighs almost 17 pounds now and the is a chunk! We love both our kids so so much!

Crazy days!

Easter was amazing! We attended church and then we had a big barbeque at our house with all my sisters, their boyfriends, my mom and our next door neighbors. The weather was beautiful and it was just a really great time to spend together! On Tuesday I walked into my kitchen and discovered a HUGE Hobo spider enjoying itself in my sink. I couldn't flush it down the sink drain because it wouldn't fit and I didn't want it to run away if I tried smashing it so I had an ingenious idea . . . I captured it inside a glass jar and now I am simply waiting for it to die so I don't have to open the jar with it alive! If you hadn't guessed I am absolutely terrified of spiders! My yard is officially ready for summer! We pruned all the rosebushes, replanted trees, and planted half of our dirt lot with grass! We also got a dog about two weeks ago. He is so gentle and a welcome addition to our family! I am super excited for school to be done . . . only about 3 weeks to go! This morning as I was getting myself and the kids ready to go, I did Maddy's hair and it was sticking straight up in the air. She then said to me, "Look mommy, it's the temple!" about her hair, I thought it was so cute and I'm glad she's so interested in the temple! Until next time!

Our day in Pocatello

Today Maddy, Logan, and myself travelled to Pocatello to visit my friend Alicia and her children. Travis stayed home to work. The kids had so much fun playing together and they were so adorable! As we were leaving, Maddison said to me "Mommy, I have to go give Koen kisses and hugs!" So she then proceeded to run up the steps and give him a hug and a kiss! We colored easter eggs today also and that was quite the fun experience! Maddison has been having motion sickness problems lately so I got her some Drammamine which helped with the throwing up in the car which is a blessing! Well until next time!

Its been a long time!

Well its been about a month since I last wrote but it has been super busy at our household so that is why. It was our spring break this past week and it was wonderful! I've been meaning to clean our basement, aka "the cave" for about a year so I finally accomplished that and it does look really good!! I went out to the farm and helped my dad for a couple days, that was fun for Maddy and Logan! Logan has been teething so that's been pretty miserable for us! Today we had a freak snow storm and our power went out while I was doing housework. Maddison came into the kitchen and said "Mommy! The power went out, what should we do?!" and then she proceeded to tap her chin with her finger and she said "Let me think . . . we should call the police and tell them to come fix it!" hahaha! Ding Dongs

Well yesterday I had to take some tylenol for a headache and Maddy asked me if I had "owies" I told her that I did so I was taking tylenol. For the rest of the day she kept telling me she needed tylenol because she was "so sick" lol! Then last night I was eating a Ding Dong after dinner and Maddy comes running in and tells me that she needs a big bite of my ding dong because it will make her feel all better! Kids say the funniest things! Logan is now sleeping in his crib and I am so excited about that! Travis is currently stranded in Twin Falls because he has no gas to get home so I'm hoping he'll get here safely since it is snowing. I've been working in a cafe for one of my classes and I love it so much! I never thought I'd serve food again after my one failed attempt a few years ago, but surprisingly, I am pretty good at it so I'm very pleased with that. Til next time!

Sunday morning at the Morrell house

Well today is Sunday and its another cold and rainy day. I actually enjoy this kind of weather but after solid weeks of it, it gets old. Travis is actually home today so thats nice since he's been super busy lately with school. Maddison is enjoying spending time with her daddy and they are watching a movie together right now. We have sick kids right now so we're skipping church today so hopefully they'll get better! My TV is getting fixed today and I am so extremely excited! I know its not so great that I watch so much TV but until there is no TV to watch I didn't realize how much I watch it! LOL! Logan is napping right now, he has this awful habit of going to sleep at about 8 and then he sleeps until 12:30 or so and then he is up off and on until 8 and then he's out for about 2 hours! I don't know how much more I can take since I"m quite grumpy when I don't get enough sleep! We are transitioning him to a crib right now and out of the bassinet so maybe that has something to do with it? Maddison is now potty trained! I am so excited! It took about 2 months for her to finally start telling me when she has to go but I'm just glad she does now! I now have to go fold towels so until next time!

Our Family

This is the first time I've ever done a blog so bear with me! Travis and I got married July 29, 2005 so we've been married now for almost 4 years! It's been a wonderful 4 years and I wouldn't trade any part of it! We have two children. Maddison, who was born on July 17, 2006, will be 3 years old this year and Logan, who was born on September 28, 2009, is almost 5 months now. We are still living in Burley, Idaho for now. Travis is attending the Law Enforcement program through CSI and will be graduating in May. I am also attending CSI and am going through the Hospitality Management program. We are enjoying our new family and life in general!
